Differentiated Learning in Art: Student Choice Projects
Students in 4th and 5th grades are currently exploring the multiple pathways of artists in the world as they choose to create projects imploring an application of art through the perspective of professionals who cultivate creativity in a variety of fields as: Entrepreneurs, Inventors, Artists and Innovators.
Expression is not limited to images in art. Part of what is covered in our art curriculum challenges the assumption that "art" is limited to pictures, but rather focuses on ideas of connection to language as an expansive element of artistic expression. Additionally, as art begins to incorporate reflective aspects of design in intermediate grades, fostering skills that develop effective means of communication is part of a process aiming to develop skills of an effective artist and advocate for self and others.
Escritura Integrada de 3ro-5to Grado: La expresión en el arte no esta limitada a imágenes. Parte de los retos que descubrimos en nuestro curriculo de arte es la asuncion de que el "arte" esta limitado a dibujos, ya que también se efoca en ideas que se conectan al lenguaje como un elemento expansivo de expresión artística. Además, al incorporar aspectos de refleccion en aspectos del diseño, los alumnos desarrollan destrezas para comunicar efectivamente el proceso artístico así como a advocar por sí mismos y por los demás.
